Dear ASO Supporters and Friends,
Please add your name to the growing list of the reading public who are concerned over the future direction of art coverage by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Below is a link to the recently published letter to the editor from Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Music Director Robert Spano that spells out the importance of “regularly reviewing the fine arts”. If you agree, we ask you to take a moment and add your name to this petition at this link: http://www.zoomerang.com/survey.zgi?p=WEB226HWDYL5CV
Please feel free to forward this link to other arts supporters.
Thank you,
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
I follow the arts scene in Atlanta, and read those sections of the paper that pertain to the arts subjects.
I am a long time reader of the AJC. I am disappointed that the paper has chosen to diminish the coverage of the arts. The paper often claims that Atlanta is the capital of the south. In view of that, Atlanta needs full coverage of the art scene.

My family and I have for many years at Christmas time travelled through Atlanta from the UK on our way to visit our friends in Florida. We have always taken the opportunity to attend a concert by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and take in the artistic offerings that Atlanta hosts at that time. It is so refreshing to see the variation in thought portrayed in art as a whole that is presented in London and Atlanta. It is the critics reviewing regularly the performances presented, both visual and audible, that keeps the public informed of the arts and entices lively and healthy debate. Their reviews also encourage those performing to further enrich the lives of those trapped in a metropolis and enhance natures offerings. Please do not cut off this live line.

I must admit that I rarely read the AJC as I feel it to be a poor publication in general. This gives me one less reason to buy it. Coverage of the local arts would be the number one reason to buy the AJC on those occasions that I do. Atlanta is moving forward in most every way and we need a Paper that does the same. You are going in the wrong direction AJC. I guess I can use Google for my local information but it would be nice to have a responsible, reputable and enlightened source for local information in general

I would love to sign the petition, but first I would like to read it, and zoomerang makes me submit my information before it will show me the petition. I don't even know if it will show me the petition after I click the submit button.
It doesn't say whether or not clicking SUBMIT will automatically add my name to this invisible petition or will just allow me to advance to a screen where I can see the petition.
